    Christine de Baan, Programme Director of Dutch Design, Fashion and Architecture.

    Based on her experience as programme director for the Dutch DFA
    Internationalisation programme Christine will discuss how venturing abroad can bring the strong points and characteristics of a national architectural culture into clearer focus.

    She will argue that awareness of this identity is crucial for international
    success, and explain how the dichotomy between commerce and culture – in terms of policy – becomes irrelevant in the light of entrepreneurship abroad.

    Professor Cathal O'Neill, FRIAI, will be interviewed by Orla Murphy about his career as an architect, a Teacher and a student of Mies van der Rohe.

    Noel Dowley will be interviewed by John McLaughlin, MRIAI. John will take Noel through his long career in private practice and the work he produced as well as his time as a student of Louis Khan

    A summary overview of, and brief reflections upon, how the architectural profession in Ireland and its Institute has addressed changing circumstances during three different centuries.

    Niall Scott, FRIAI, Architect

    Niall’s lecture will cover the incorporation of Art and collaboration with Artists from the 1930’s to the present day which will include commissioned works by Patrick Scott and many other artists. He will also pay a special tribute to Ronnie Tallon.
