  • Wilson Architecture Established over 40 years ago, Wilson Architecture is one of Ireland’s leading architectural firms. With offices in Cork, Dublin and Dalian China, Wilson Architecture provide a full range of professional architectural services to both National and International clients. Our success is due to our commitment to achieving design excellence through all stages of a project, from conception through to final construction. The board of directors includes Managing Director Paud O’Mahony, Directors John McCarthy, Peter Heffernan, Peter O’ Donovan and Associate directors Marcus Reid, Brian Westlake with Honorary Chairman Frank O’Mahony. Our permanent staff consists of a dedicated and skilled team of architects, urban planners, architectural technologists, site architects, interior designers, multi-media designers, graphic artists and administrative staff. All our staff are experienced in working collaboratively with clients, design teams and construction contractors to ensure a hands-on approach to delivering successful projects. Our projects span all building typologies, commercial, residential, pharmaceutical, education and retail. They cover all stages from master planning and concept design to interior design and certification with regulatory compliance. We are additionally experienced in the design of high-rise buildings, having completed the tallest building in Ireland, the Elysian Tower in Cork (70m), a recently completed high rise office tower in Jinan (96m), and designed a twin towers project in Dalian (148m). Wilson Architecture boasts a diverse range of projects which have been recognised for our design excellence. We had a double win with Penrose Dock for “Building of the Year” and the Large Office category with Penrose Dock in The Building and Architect of the Year Awards 2021, the RIAI recognised us in 2019 with the award for innovation for the façade of Cork district courthouse as well as being highly commended in the RIAI 2021 awards for the extension to Davis College Mallow. Building Information Modelling (BIM) – Wilson Architecture have been involved in 3-D modelling of complex buildings since 1995 and have subsequently progressed to use the full BIM software packages. We recently received an industry award as part of the team which completed the first BIM to FM project in Ireland. Sustainability – We have established a reputation for devising truly sustainable solutions across a broad spectrum of building typologies. Adopting a holistic approach, we believe that the basis of sustainable design is an understanding of every component that will deliver a healthy and enduring building, a place in which people will feel comfortable. We have in-house expertise in major building certification systems such as BREEAM and LEED, who input into all design stages of the project. We have recently obtained gold LEED certification for a large multi-storey office building in Cork City.
