DOE Large Scale Capital Works Programme INNOVATE Pre-Tender Briefing Webinar, 18 April

The Department of Education (DOE) is progressing, the Programme INNOVATE as part of the DoE`s Large Scale Capital Works Programmes, delivering the next programme of new school projects implementing an enhanced programmatic approach and appointment of Integrated Project Teams.  

The programme will include many multiple schools projects in 5 lots and includes lots ranging up to 25,000m2 in area which can include Campus projects as well as Special schools in urban and suburban contexts.

The RIAI has called for a members pre-tender information session.

A notice with full details has been published on e-tenders, and will be of interest to Architects, Engineers and other Construction Consultants, seeking to support the delivery of school building projects under Project Ireland 2040.

The programme’s vision is to create schools that support an inclusive and inspiring learning environment using sustainable design and construction approaches. The Department will be seeking multidisciplinary consultants to join together to form Integrated Design Teams (IDT’s) to establish a Framework of IDT`s from which future tender competitions will be conducted to appoint an Integrated Design team (IDT) to a number of school lots.

Each lot will consist of a number of schools and include large phased campus projects (multiple schools on a single site). The programme includes many Post primary, Primary and or Special School projects. This is a Prior Information Notice (PIN) and not a Contract Notice. The DoE wishes to make the market aware that the tender process may be initiated in the next 6 months.
