Event Information
The RIAI, in conjunction with Cathal Mooney, present the RIAI Safety by Design CPD in a live online-training format.
This intensive safety course, worth 4 Structured CPD points, is designed by architects for architects. The course comprises three-hour online training session via Zoom and one hour of post-reading.
Speaker
Presented by Cathal Mooney, MIOSH, experienced Health and Safety professional, this CPD combines live presentations with worked examples and group discussion.
Course Aim
The purpose of the course is to provide Architects with a working knowledge of health and safety and the role of the designer under the construction regulations.
Event Programme
The programme includes practical exercises to develop experience in producing the correct information to be passed onto Project Supervisors, record keeping and designing out hazards.
The course explains and clearly marks the beginning and the end of the health and safety role of the designer in the building process.

Terms and Conditions
Confirmation is subject to event fee being finalised. Cancellation fees calculated at 50% of the estimated total bill will be charge for confirmed bookings cancelled less than 5 working days prior to the date of the planned event. A replacement person can attend instead. Cancellations made the day prior to an event will be charged 75% of the total estimated bill. No-shows will be charged the full fee. All cancellations must be confirmed in writing by email. RIAI will not be liable for any costs in the event of a course being re-scheduled.
