The aim of this recorded CPD webinar is to provide members with a legal analysis of the effects of the COVID-19 closures and re-openings of sites and reduced productivity due to social distancing measures under private sector contracts and to provide practical advice as to the steps to be taken if they are administering a contract which has been affected by such measures.

Barrett is partner in the Construction Group of McCann FitzGerald and practises in all areas of construction law advising developers, contractors, consultants, funders, insurers and bondsmen on a wide variety of construction related issues. He has developed particular expertise in the areas of dispute resolution and construction-related regulatory issues including regulation of health and safety, building control and construction products.

Kevin Kelly, Partner, McCann Fitzgerald Solicitors

Kevin is partner in the Construction Group of McCann FitzGerald and practises in all areas of construction law advising both public and private sector clients including local authorities, developers, contractors, consultants, funders, insurers and bondsmen on a wide variety of construction related issues. He has developed particular expertise in the areas of contract drafting, negotiation, administration, dispute resolution and EU public procurement tendering procedures.

Niall is the Managing Director of Interactive Project Managers (IPM); the practice specialises in Architect lead construction project management. Niall is chair of the RIAI Contracts drafting group (update of the RIAI yellow form of contract); lecturer in Contract to the annual UCD professional practice course; Niall is a practicing Arbitrator, Adjudicator and Conciliator / Mediator and has been appointed as Conciliator and Standing Conciliator on a number of public works contracts.
