Speaker Biography

Colette Langan is a stained glass maker and restorer. She began her career in the UK training on medieval glass from iconic buildings such as Westminster Abbey, Winchester Cathedral and The Tower of London. She later set up her own studio in Carrick on Shannon combining making new designs with restoration work; she also received a first class hons. fine art degree. She sees education as an important element of her work in both restoration and the creative experience and has turned her attention to the challenge of sustainability in her work practice.
