The RIAI is delighted to present our final event in the EUmies Awards series on Wednesday 14 February at 5.30pm. CONTEMPORARY + BEYOND is curated and moderated by Dr Carole Pollard FRIAI and hosted in partnership with RIAI Women in Architecture.
Joining us from Barcelona is Cristina Gamboa, Lacol Architects, winners of the Emerging EUmies Award. Cristina will be joined in conversation by a fantastic panel of speakers including Dr. Alice Casey MRIAI, TAKA Architects; Winner in the EUmies Young Talent Awards, Laura Hurley from Cork Centre of Architectural Education; and Igea Troiani, Professor of Architecture at London South Bank University and Chair of Women in Architecture UK. RIAI President, Sean Mahon FRIAI will open the event.
CONTEMPORARY + BEYOND will explore a selection of EUmies Award winning buildings, the practice methodologies of their architects, and themes pertaining to contemporary issues of architectural practice including thoughts about the future of practice.
Since 2017, the RIAI Women in Architecture celebration event is a showcase for the work of Irish women architects in Ireland and across the globe. We are delighted to be holding it in partnership with the EUmies Awards Exhibition at the Dublin Castle Printworks venue this year.
The event is free and open to all, and we hope that the 2024 audience will be fully representative of all those interested in contemporary practice of architecture.
We recommend early booking as this is a very popular event. Followed by a reception.
