Job Description:

John Fleming Architects (JFA) is a leading commercial architectural practice, based primarily in Dublin 4 and with a satellite office in Maynooth, Co Kildare.  JFA has a strong track record across a diverse body of work primarily focused on multi-unit residential, commercial, hospitality/leisure and retail projects.  In this period of rapid growth and with a significant number of exciting new projects currently underway and many more in the pipeline, we are growing our current team structures by recruiting across a range of experience levels and skills. Our culture is dynamic and team-oriented with a flat organisational structure and our values emphasise strong client service through both good architectural design and project delivery to the highest industry standards. Working at the forefront of successful commercial architecture in Ireland, we have an environment where we ensure that people’s skills and competencies are acknowledged and are constantly being developed through offering diversity of job experience, formal and informal training opportunities. We use Revit, AutoCad, Sketchup, Photoshop and Indesign.

Job Requirements:

As part of a team, you will be involved in all project stages, being assigned tasks which play to your strengths. Typically, this will include developing feasibility study presentations for clients - often with a quick turnaround time; liaising with a diverse range of clients from property developers to state bodies and charities to clarify briefs, needs and budgets; designing - both at high level and in detail; and preparing planning, tender and construction packages. Broadly, for these roles it is expected that you have:

• 1-3 years’ postgraduate work experience
• A commercial focus, which includes familiarity with planning and building regulations
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• A track record of working successfully in teams

The ideal candidate will be looking to prepare for, or have recently completed,  Professional Practice Examinations. Projects will be allocated to assist with Case Study selection.

Remuneration: Excellent terms and conditions, dependent on skills and experience, offering strong career development opportunities.
