Published: Thursday, August 01, 2013

Tributes have been published world-wide, marking the untimely death of the London-based Irish interior designer David Collins. A graduate in architecture of DIT Bolton Street, David Collins practised in London as David Collins Studio, designing bespoke and innovative interiors – from the world of high fashion to some of London’s most loved and revered restaurants, hotels and bars. Clients include fashion designer Alexander McQueen and restaurateur Gordon Ramsey as well as Fortnum & Mason, the Ritz Carlton Bangkok and David Morris. The portfolio also features work for private clients and the studio says it has “developed a reputation for discretion as well as creativity in our work designing homes for those who appreciate beauty, comfort and attention to detail.” Fashion designer and trained architect Tom Ford said: “David’s talent and eye for design are well known but what I will miss is his generosity as a human being.” www.davidcollins.com
