Baltrasna House

This extension to an existing farmstead ruin looks to embrace our innate memory, causing us to reflect on our built heritage and the interaction of newly built structures with it. The extension is crafted with simplicity of form and materials to harmonise within the rural setting, the farmstead ruin now re-purposed as an entry courtyard and its integrity protected for future generations. This is a project that redefines a way to think about our existing rural vernacular structures.
