This is an exquisite home, re-made from the original house and shop on the site through the addition of a large two storey extension and sunken garden. The extension re-orientates the house towards the south and the articulation point, the two storey hallway, between the existing and new, is beautifully judged. Fair faced concrete vaults define the kitchen and new living area and are expressed externally with board marked concrete. Terrazzo floors reference the terrazzo found in the original house and appear to subtly influence the colour scheme and material choices throughout.
