RIAI Silver Medal for Housing 2020-2021 Shortlist announced

We’re delighted to announce the Shortlist for the RIAI Silver Medal for Housing 2020 – 2021.

The Medal received a significant number of entries, and the Jury was impressed by the quality and ambition of the projects reviewed. Following site visits and deliberations, five projects have been shortlisted: three in Dublin, one in Co. Kilkenny, and one spanning six sites across Clare, Cork, Galway and Waterford.

The winner and runners-up of the RIAI Silver Medal for Housing – the Institute’s highest award for housing design – will be announced at the Joint RIAI / DHLGH Housing Conference in Sligo on 23 February 2026.

This biennial award recognises excellence in housing design, assessed several years after completion to reflect how projects stand the test of time.
