Admission Criteria:

  1. RIAI Architectural Graduate Membership. This process ensures that your architectural qualification is approved, and that you have access to RIAI Members’ resources. Applicants who are not yet Architectural Graduate members but who have applied for admission to Architectural Graduate membership and have received confirmation from the Admissions Office that their application will be considered by the BAEAC in January 2025 should submit the full suite of application documentation prior to 30 December 2024 and state 'pending' under the relevant question on the application form.
  2. Postgraduate Professional Experience. A minimum of 24 months full-time postgraduate experience under the supervision of a RIAI Registered Architect (or equivalent in another jurisdiction). At least twelve months of that postgraduate experience must be in Ireland. Year-out work experience or summer experience during your five years of architectural education does not count.
  3. Case Study Project. You must submit a Case Study proposal for a project which will be at least 70% complete at construction stage by 30 September 2025. A suitable Case Study project is one where you have had close and continuing involvement through all work stages. You may use two projects if necessary to demonstrate your experience through all stages.
