RIAI as Enterprise Partner – Call for Research Proposals

As part of the new RIAI Cultivating Research Scheme (launched in June 2021) the RIAI is seeking proposals from researchers who are interested in partnering with the RIAI in submitting an application for funding under the Irish Research Council Enterprise Partnership Scheme.

• The RIAI will act as an Enterprise Partner for 1-2 research projects.
• The preference of the RIAI is for short term postgrad research (i.e Research Masters) or Post Doc research, however applications for PhD study will also be considered.
• The RIAI will work with the selected researcher & academic partner to develop a strong proposal under the Irish Research Council Enterprise scheme. https://research.ie/funding/
•  As the Irish Research Council funding schemes are competitive, should the application be unsuccessful the RIAI is committed to working with the selected researcher to explore other potential sources of funding.
• Submissions will be evaluated by the RIAI Research Group and successful applicant(s) will be notified in September.

Submission Details:

• Complete and up to date CV including names of 2 referees
• Research proposal including outline methodology (max 1000 words)
• Name of academic partner / supervisor (if known)
• Indication of preference for Research Masters, PhD or Postdoc
• Short statement on the impact of the proposed research including how it will be direct value to the RIAI and its membership
• Short statement on how the proposed research will be disseminated generally and communicated to the RIAI membership
• Submissions should be emailed to ccurran@riai.ie by 5pm on Wednesday 1 September
