Course Aim
This webinar aims to provide RIAI members with essential insights into the upcoming daa Framework Agreements for building design services at Cork and Dublin Airports. Attendees will gain a clear understanding of the scope, requirements, and opportunities associated with the two lots: Minor and Major Building Design Services. This session is designed to facilitate engagement between potential consultants and the daa, ensuring that RIAI members are well-prepared to participate in the tender process.
Target Audience
This webinar is intended for RIAI Members, architects and architectural technologists, interested in or currently working in airport infrastructure projects.
Overview
The daa is establishing Framework Agreements for two lots of building design services at Cork and Dublin Airports, including other associated works. The two lots are:
- Lot 1: Minor Building Design Services (AFC up to €10m)
- Lot 2: Major Building Design Services (AFC over €10m)
The RIAI has organised a webinar for members to discuss the details and opportunities of the new tender with the daa.
Suggested topics include:
- Overview of the daa’s Capital Investment Programme and its impact on Cork and Dublin Airports
- Detailed breakdown of Lot 1 and Lot 2, including specific project scopes and requirements
- Evaluation criteria and procurement process for the Framework Agreements
- Opportunities for collaboration and partnerships within the framework
- Best practices for successful participation in the daa’s tender process

Speaker Biographies
Brian Collier, daa Head of Construction Procurement
25+years in Procurement, the last 10 of which has been as the daa Head of Construction Procurement. In Brian’s 25+yrs experience he has been involved in the delivery of T2 and associated works (€650m) and the northern parallel runway (€175m) and drafted daa’s procurement strategy for CIP 2020+ (€2bn). Brian has delivered in excess of €1.5bn in construction and construction related projects at Dublin and Cork Airports during his career.
Eoin Deasy, Head of Technical Delivery at daa
Eoin serves as the Head of Technical Delivery at daa, where he leads the engineering design delivery for the airport's capital programme. Previously, he played a key role in securing regulatory approval from the economic regulator for the current capital programme, which is designed to expand Dublin Airport's capacity to 40 million passengers annually. With a wealth of experience in large-scale capital investment, design, and construction, Eoin has contributed to major international projects in both the aviation and rail sectors.
John Sorohan, daa Architectural Design Manager
With over 20 years of architectural experience, John leads the Architectural Team responsible for designing and overseeing building projects at Dublin and Cork Airports, supporting both current operations and future expansions. Before joining daa, John worked in private practice with several award-winning architectural firms, both nationally and internationally. His extensive experience in designing and delivering complex buildings has been valuable in managing the diverse range of building types across the Dublin and Cork Airport campuses.
