The aim of this course is to provide architects and building professionals with updated knowledge and practical guidance on conducting site inspections, focusing on compliance with Building Control Amendment Regulations (BCAR). The course revisits core methodologies, highlights key watch points, and addresses common issues arising in inspections. This session aims to equip participants with the skills and confidence to ensure thorough, safe, and compliant site inspections in today's regulatory and construction landscape.


Course Overview

This CPD session revisits the fundamentals of conducting site inspections, providing updates relevant to 2025 with a focus on BCAR (Building Control Amendment Regulations) compliance. The programme incorporates key lessons from the 2018 CPD and builds on them by addressing new developments, common issues encountered in recent years, and practical strategies for improving compliance and safety during inspections.

The session is structured to engage participants through updated methodologies, practical examples, and interactive discussions. It will explore key watch points, recurring issues, and collaboration with stakeholders.

Terms and Conditions

Confirmation is subject to event fee being finalised. Cancellation fees calculated at 50% of the estimated total bill will be charge for confirmed bookings cancelled less than 5 working days prior to the date of the planned event. A replacement person can attend instead. Cancellations made the day prior to an event will be charged 75% of the total estimated bill. No-shows will be charged the full fee. All cancellations must be confirmed in writing by email. RIAI will not be liable for any costs in the event of a course being re-scheduled.
