Event Information

Conference REUSE ARCHITECTURE  is organized by the Ministry of Physical Planning, Construction and State Assets, Institute for Spatial Development in cooperation with the Croatian Chamber of Architects.

The central theme of the conference will be sustainable urban development and urban renewal focused on various aspects of the use or reuse of urban fabric.

Conference will be virtual and organised as two half-day events:

Thursday 22 April 2021 10:00 - 14:30
Friday 23 April 2021 10:00 - 14:00

The conference is thematically focused on questions of spatial rehabilitation and revitalization, activation of degraded, abandoned and overlooked buildings or areas, reuse of neglected zones or individual structures, as well as their circular management.

The aim is to bring together experts all over Europe who can, by sharing their experiences, be an inspiration for future actions on urban renewal and recovery of affected areas, with the aim of increasing their resilience. The results of European cooperation on defining the quality criteria of architecture and built environment and a review of available sources of financing will certainly contribute to the creation of architectural policies of the Republic of Croatia for the future period.

It is intended for architects and spatial planners, policy makers at all levels, other interested experts, as well as the general public.
