Brexit will become “real” on 1 January 2021 at the end of the transition period, and will bring changes to every field of endeavour in Ireland, because so much of our activity is interwoven with the UK.

This interactive webinar, jointly hosted by Engineers Ireland and Chartered Accountants Ireland, will give an overview of the impacts of Brexit on different sectors. Engineers Ireland have extended the invitation to other sectors to attend. The event is expected to answer questions; and assist engineers to assess whether and to what extent they now need to engage in formal training and knowledge development.

The webinar will be presented by Tony Buckley, ex-head of Irish Customs, who advises clients from a range of sectors, and has designed and delivered training for Chartered Accountants Ireland, the Irish Exporters Association, and the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport among others. Tony is also lead tutor on the new Chartered Accountants Ireland Certificate in Customs and Trade which will equip those involved in importing or exporting (to the UK) with all the practical skills required to successfully manage this onerous business challenge.
