Event Information

The RIAI and the Heritage Contractors Register will host a live CPD focused on Conservation-led masterplan for an urban brownfield site at the former CIE lands in Cork, jointly presented by Gareth O’Callaghan, MRIAI and Susan Dawson, MRIAI.

Course Aim

The aim of the course is to gain an appreciation of how the industrial heritage of a site can be integrated in a new emergent urban quarter in Cork city. How building conservation interfaces with the complexities of answering a client brief.

On completion of this course attendees should have a knowledge of Challenges associated with a complex urban site that contains a number of Protected Structures.
