The RIAI present a CPD on Changing the mindset from ‘Granny Flat’ to Flexible Home Adaptations, Catherine Dollard (MRIAI) and Linda Horgan (MAOTI).

Course Aim

The aim of the CPD course is to inform attendees of best practice in the design of flexible home adaptations.

Learning Outcomes

On completion of this course participants will be able to:

LO1: An understanding of the criteria for ‘granny flats’ in existing Development Plans and why there is a need for a more consistent approach to support positive health and housing outcomes. 

LO2: Illustrate best practice in the provision of flexible home adaptations to provide a home for older people and those who need support to live independently.
