RIAI Architecture Ireland Student Writing Prize 2018

UPDATE: Closing date for receipt of applications has been extended to 12 noon on Friday 25th May.

The RIAI and the Editorial Board of Architecture Ireland present the fifth edition of the RIAI Architecture Ireland Student Writing Prize 2018. Students are invited to contribute an article of no more than 1000 words on a theme of their choice – whether a building or a book; an architect or a movement; both contemporary and historic subject matters will be considered.

ELIGIBILITY
The prize is open to students currently enrolled in any year of qualifications in architecture on the Island of Ireland as listed here and students who are currently enrolled in any year of qualifications in architectural technology which are currently accredited by the RIAI.

PRIZE TIMELINE
Final Registration date - 12 noon Friday 25 May 2018
Final Submission date - 12 noon on Friday 15 June 2018
Evaluation period - June – September 2018
Announcement of Short List - End September 2018
Presentation of Prize and Exhibition of Short Listed entries - 2018 RIAI Student Award Ceremony and Exhibition, October 2018

THE PRIZE
A €2,500 prize fund is available for this prize. Division or not of the prize fund will reflect the standard and diversity of entries.
