Building is Complex – Work with a Registered Architect - RIAI National Radio Campaign

Published: Monday, August 28, 2017

Working with an Architect

The RIAI is currently running a national radio campaign to promote the expertise of Registered Architects and raise awareness of the range and complexity of the work that Registered Architects deliver.

The campaign has been running in November on Radio Kerry and will be running from Monday November 27th until Friday December in November on Cork’s 96/C103.  You can listen to the radio ad here.

Why should I work with a Registered Architect?
Whether you are extending your home or planning a new company headquarters, building is complex. Registered Architects are trained and qualified to get the right result for you.  The RIAI is the registration body for Architects and maintains the quality and standards of the profession.

How do I find an Architectural Practice?
The RIAI provides on its website a search tool – the RIAI Practice Directory – that enables you to find a registered Architect in your area. You can search the directory by practice name, if you have already identified a practice, by skill or simply by location.

If you require assistance, please contact the RIAI and give details of the project, address, location so the RIAI can provide a list of Architects in your area. T 01 6761703 and info@riai.ie.

How do I know my Architect is registered?
You can search the Register on the RIAI website to check if your Architect is registered.

Further Information
If you are planning a residential project (extension, renovation or new build), please consult our free guide Working with an Architect, which can be downloaded from the RIAI website.

The RIAI also publishes Cost Guidelines for both larger projects and residential work.
