Lecture by Henk Ovink, Director for National Spatial Planning, Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure & Environment to launch the Making the Built Environment Work IRCHSS All-Ireland Summer School in cooperation with NIRSA, ISSP and ANCB 

Henk Ovink is Director of National Spatial Planning for the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and the Environment and co-curator for the International Architecture Biennale Rotterdam 2012 "Making City". He is responsible for the new Spatial Planning Policy, the Dutch Architecture Policy, the new Spatial Planning Act and several long-term plans and studies including the Olympic Strategy.

He teaches at Harvard GSD, Columbia GSAPP, University of Kentucky, TU Delft, and the Design Academy Eindhoven. He initiated the research programme Design and Politics (DAPP) and participates in the Urban Age research programme within the LSE. He writes and lectures on the change of government, planning and the position of politics and design
