The National Housing Conference is a biennial event and jointly hosted by the RIAI and the Department of Housing Planning and Local Government.

2019 marks the 50th Anniversary of the first biennial Housing Conference, which was first held in the the RDS in March 1969.

This is a two-day event, taking place on 20 and 21 May.

2040 Delivering the Vision for Housing

The theme of the 2019 National Housing Conference is “2040 Delivering the Vision for Housing”, exploring the positive influence of the National Planning Framework (NPF) on the future of sustainable housing in Ireland.

The conference features international and national keynote speakers, addressing a range of topics prompted by the National Planning Framework (NPF), which will impact on the future form, design, location and delivery of private, affordable and social housing in Ireland.

Minister of Housing, Planning and Local Government Eoghan Murphy TD, will make the opening address and present the RIAI Silver Medal for Housing, which is traditionally awarded at this conference.  The RIAI Silver Medal for Housing is supported by Wienerberger

On view will be a specially curated Housing Exhibition of current housing projects by RIAI Members.
