We are delighted to announce that Manisha Basu, Architect from Ahmedabad, India will give a lecture on her ’35 Years of Architectural Work’ on Tuesday 4 June 2019 at the RIAI ‘Architecture Centre’.

Manisha Shodhan Basu practices & teaches architecture in Ahmedabad, India. She is a graduate of C.E.P.T., Ahmedabad with a Master’s Degree in Architecture from the Royal Danish Academy of Arts, School of Architecture, Copenhagen.

On 10 January 2019, Manisha had a solo exhibition of her 35 years of Architectural work at Le Corbusier’s Mill Owner’s Association ‘Odes to Happiness’. One very strong reason for the exhibition was to portray the Woman Architect and her work and life.  She has also authored a book called ‘Le Corbusier’s Shodhan Villa’ which is the only comprehensive inside account of Corbusier’s last residential project. The book was first published in 2008, and followed with a second print in 2018.
