Two Grand Parade

Two Grand Parade is a sensitive and successful restoration of a mid-century office building along Dublin’s Grand Canal. The Jury was impressed by the Architects’ restraint, both in the restoration of the existing building and in the design of a new office building to the south. The existing palette of materials was used as a precedent for all new interventions, resulting in an excellent office building that feels contemporary, elegant, and yet timeless.

The reinstated entrance plaza creates a campus-like space that subtly invites the new building in. Water features, seating and public realm upgrades all combine in a project that not only restores the building but also restores the sense of place within the city.
