The Rock Wing at the Mater Hospital presents a quality design solution meeting the client’s requirement for 5,000 additional patients annually. The national covid response prompted demanding timeframes for the delivery of the project.
The new hospital entrance area is set back along the Georgian setting of Eccles Street, providing an enhanced public realm for the community. The success of the highly functioning environment of the medical building was borne out by client testimonials. The pre-assembled components contributed to expediencies within the project programme. The design response demonstrates an exemplar, highly serviced and coordinated solution.
