Harcourt Terrace Educate Together National School

Harcourt Terrace Educate Together National School is an excellent building from start to finish. The project was borne out of an RIAI architectural competition in 2014 that sought to deliver a new concept for an urban school on an infill site. The passion and conviction of the Architects over those 10 years to deliver the school is evident. The design concepts are clearly articulated, and the spaces feel considered, appropriate, and always approachable.

Quality, detailing and fun permeate throughout this school. Collaboration between the classes, rethinking the fire strategy to utilise corridors, and maximising external spaces for use by all are some examples. Leadership and collaboration to achieve this vision is clear. Harcourt Terrace is not only a fantastic piece of architecture, but also a testament to the Architects in delivering a new school typology.
