RIAI Post Primary School Architectural Design Competition for the Department of Education and Skills

The Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland and the Department of Education and Skills have launched a major new architectural design competition for the design of a new post primary school.  The site is located in the neighbourhood of Kingswood, Tallaght in West Dublin. This Competition is now closed and Stage 2 has been completed..

Joint second place is shared by Dublin-based de Blacam and Meagher Architects and Coady Partnership Architects. Other practices that were Shortlisted for Stage two were, Grafton Architects, Michael Kelly Architect and BDP. Commended in the first stage were de Paor Architects, Gilroy McMahon and KMD. There were 154 submissions – including 43 international entries from 14 countries.
