From the striking silhouette and massing of the stone clad outcrops to the considered choreography of cuts between to make a generous landscape of open spaces this project was greatly admired as an exceptional piece of architecture. The section is rich in light, volume, delight, and the relationships between inside and out, at times loosely defined and indeed conscious of the local climatic requirements, were enjoyed for their generosity. The apparent material restraint of the massing gives way to delicate and thoughtful treatment of envelope and lining, again apparently highly tuned to the local context.
