Technical Assessment Preparatory Workshops
Published: Monday, December 05, 2011
The RIAI, in response to a significant increase in the volume of queries relating to the Technical Assessment process, will be running preparatory workshops for those interested in making an application for Registration/Membership via the Technical Assessment Route (Route E).
The first workshop will run on Wednesday 25 January 2012 from 09.30am to 12.30pm at the RIAI 8 Merrion Square. Booking is essential as places are limited and only those who have signed up for the workshop in advance will be able to attend. If you wish to book a place please email Antje Baeger firstname.lastname@example.org. If the workshop is oversubscribed further sessions will be organised as required. There is no fee for attending the workshop.
The agenda for the day will include:
- A summary of how the assessment process works
- Summary information on the operation of the process to date
- Approaching the preparation of a submission
- Making decisions on what to include
- Securing verifications
The workshop will be led by non-architect staff of the RIAI. The objective is to work through the various issues faced by prospective applicants and the technical requirements of the submission. There will be no advice given on, or detailed discussion of, content. However, there will be some discussion of how to approach decision making about what to include etc..
Suggestions for specific topics that could be covered during the workshop are welcome. Specific/detailed questions may be submitted in advance of the session to provide time to develop a response for discussion on the day.
Prospective applicants are welcome to contact Margaret Hynds O’Flanagan, RIAI Admissions Director, for technical advice/discussion when preparing applications, Email email@example.com.
