‘See the Light 2009 – Energy Efficient Buildings, How Low Can We Go’

Posted: Monday, January 19, 2009

Wednesday, 4 and Thursday, 5 February 2009

Sustainable Energy Ireland (SEI) and the Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland (RIAI) invite you to ‘See the Light 2009 – Energy Efficient Buildings, How Low Can We Go’ on Wednesday 4 and Thursday 5 February at The Ardilaun Hotel, Galway.

On Wednesday 4 February we are presenting a Passive House Planning Package (PHPP) 2007 workshop, with a conference and study tour on Thursday 5 February 2009.

Following the introduction of new legislation and in response to rising energy costs and the challenge in meeting our emissions obligations under the Kyoto Protocol, low energy building is quickly becoming the preferred choice for energy and cost conscious consumers and businesses in Ireland.

See the Light Conference

Conference highlights include the launch of ‘Guidelines for Retro-fitting Irish Dwellings to the Passive House Standard’. Delegates attending this showcase conference will be offered a rare and in-depth understanding of the key principles and techniques in developing the ultimate low energy building and learn how renewable energy can be used cost effectively to provide healthy and ecological buildings here in Ireland.
