Published: Monday, January 18, 2016
It tells the success story of contemporary Irish architecture and focuses on key areas of expertise including conservation, education, culture, public buildings, urban design, housing and sport/leisure, to name but a few. Content was drawn from award-winning projects in the RIAI Irish Architecture Awards, as well as from the RIAI’s Shanghai and London exhibitions in 2012.
‘Irish Architecture – A Sense of Place’ is showed at a number of high profile national and international architecture events in 2015:
- Vision – Built Environment Exhibition, Olympia London as part of the London Festival of Architecture, 2-3 June 2015
- RIAI Annual Conference, RDS Dublin during the President’s opening address and at the RIAI Stand, 4-5 October 2015
- Main exhibition area, Irish Pavilion, Expo Milan on 2 October 2015 as part of a day-long events programme, organised by ID2015 and themed on Irish architecture
The exhibition is now on view in Enterprise Ireland’s Irish HQ. It will be on view at EI offices throughout the world and be provided to Irish embassies abroad. It will show in Aras Chill Dara Kildare Civic Offices from January 2016 and a schedule of other national locations will be provided for Jan 2016.
