Results of the RIAI Members' Planning Survey 2008

Published: Friday, August 08, 2008

The RIAI commissioned a planning survey of the views of 1929 RIAI members about their views on planning in Ireland. The survey was carried out by the survey company, Behaviour & Attitudes.

There was an official launch of the survey results, presented by the RIAI President Sean Ó Laoire, John Graby, RIAI Director and Joe Miller, RIAI Practice Director on 16 July 2008 at 8 Merrion Square before the Irish media. Sean Ó Laoire gave a number of radio interviews on the survey. There has been extensive media coverage of the survey results and a new campaign will be launch in the autumn targeting politicians from all the political parties.

As there has been a down turn in planning applications, since the report has been commissioned, you may have comments on the survey outcome or any additional comments regarding the workload and performance of the planning authorities, since that date.

Please forward your comments or observations to jmiller@riai.ie
