Conference 3 November, Convention Centre Dublin
Keynote Speakers: GRAFT Architects - Berlin, Beijing, LA
Global Practice GRAFT Architects (www.graftlab.com) have been confirmed – in partnership with the Goethe Institut Dublin – as keynote speakers for the Rebuilding Ireland Conference at Plan Expo Green, 3 November, Convention Centre Dublin. Established by three young German architects in Los Angeles in 1998, the practice has come to international acclaim through their emphasis on sustainability including their ‘shotgun’ houses, commissioned by actor Brad Pit for rebuilding New Orleans.
The conference follows on from the success of last year’s inaugural Rebuilding Ireland conference at Plan Expo Green and is organised by Architecture Ireland and Construct Ireland magazines in association with a Steering Group. The conference will be opened by Minister of State, Ciarán Cuffe, TD. Speakers include RIAI President Paul Keogh, CIF Director General Tom Parlon; DTA Architects, Denis Byrne Architects and Seán Harrington Architects. The conference will offer updates on Ireland’s National Retrofit Programme and John Dolan, Programme Coordinator with the Department of Education’s Planning and Building Unit, will discuss opportunities in School Design.
The conference will appeal to professionals in the built environment and those with an interest in architecture and sustainability.
Architect delegates will receive RIAI Structured CPD points for this event.
