New On-line Design Shop: Makers and Brothers

A new online shop (going live on 3 December) of quirky Irish and international design is the brainchild of brothers Jonathan and Mark Legge. The online shop www.makersandbrothers.com will sell a carefully selected collection of the very best of Irish and international craft and design. Makers and Brothers places Irish craft in an international design context while offering it a commercial window to a global audience. The site will feature objects of use; the simple, beautiful and sometimes nicely odd. Products will range from small furniture to home accessories, from stools to spoons. “We are taking a quiet, human approach to this project. It is a retail venture founded on simple things; the handmade, objects of integrity, local craft. Raw, genuine qualities that bring meaning and depth”, says Jonathan Legge.
