Education Update

The Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government has prescribed the following institutions and courses in accordance with section 14 of the Building Control Act 2007. See Statutory Instrument No. 341 of 2012:
Institutions
University of Limerick (B.Arch.)
Water Institute of Technology (B.Arch.)
Courses
The Architects Register Admission Examination offered by ARAE Ltd.
Please note that the Architect’s Register Admission Examination is currently open for applications, see www.arae.ie. Those successfully completing this examination may apply for admission under Route F see http://www.riai.ie/admissions/architects/
For those completing the above three courses and examinations to be eligible to seek automatic recognition in Europe the courses and examinations will have to be approved at European level, this process is already underway for the University of Limerick and Waterford Institute of Technology and will shortly be initiated by ARAE Ltd.
