Cleary + Connolly Book Launch:  IN THE WORKS

Cleary + Connolly – Irish artists and architects (DIT Bolton Street) – will be launching their new book at Dublin Contemporary as part of The Office of Non-Compliance, at 5pm, 22 October, Earlsfort Terrace. Anne Cleary and Denis Connolly will talk about their new book – Cleary + Connolly / IN THE WORKS – and their current work, a giant collaborative art project linking scientists from Paris, Dublin, and San Francisco with schoolchildren in Mayo and Kerry, and student teachers in Limerick.

“Scientists and school children have something in common, we discovered. They are still capable of amazement...and curiosity. For us, these two characteristics are the fundaments of creativity, but all too quickly lost in a world where culture and marketing go hand in hand”, say the artists.

Published by Gandon Editions, IN THE WORKS includes essays by Anne Cleary, Denis Connolly, Gemma Tipton, and a foreword by Helen O’Donoghue, Senior Curator, Irish Museum of Modern Art.
