The BIM Gathering will take place in Dublin on 14/15 November and the organisers have launched a call for papers with a deadline of 22 February.
The BIM Gathering is a 2-day conference with keynote addresses from Industry experts, presentations of academic papers, industry case studies and discussion workshops focused on particular sectors in the AEC community, to understand the implication and return on investment of leveraging BIM Technology in planning, design, construction and operations of built infrastructure. The conference is an excellent opportunity for Irish companies to showcase their skills to an international audience.
Important Dates:
Abstract Submission Deadline - 22nd February 2013
Notification of Acceptance - 29th March 2013
Full manuscript submission - 31st May 2013
Camera ready paper - 31st July 2013
Abstracts
Authors are invited to submit an abstract of 200-500 words in one or more of the above outlined topics. The deadline for abstract submission is midnight 22nd February 2013. •To showcase Ireland as a country that has the professional skillset to design and construct modern buildings and structures utilizing the best in class of cutting edge collaborative technologies.
•To place BIM and it's application in the AEC as one of the core enablers for the transformation of the Irish AEC sector.
•To learn, share and connect with representatives from the global BIM community to leverage a leaner and more efficient Irish AEC sector.
•To promote the general adoption of BIM by AEC clients, addressing the immediate drivers/barriers and to develop a more collaborative approach to its more widespread adoption in Ireland.

The CITA BIM Gathering is organized as a high quality conference with an outstanding board of Scientific Committee members to ensure a high academic standard of published papers. Papers will be blind peer-reviewed. Accepted and presented papers will be included in an ISBN conference ebook. Selected papers may be published in special issue academic journals.
