A Continual Professional Development Seminar for Architects on the protection and preservation of timber in situations where it is vulnerable to UV, insect , decay fungi, and certain internal fire risk situations by pretreatment under vacuum or in situ where it relates to building conservation where the ingress of dampness and ambient humidity is a contributory factor to the overall general risk. The talk also covers timber enhancement technologies that are of interest to cladding.
