CPD Lottery
Continuing Professional Development is an essential element of the practice of Architecture. The RIAI would like to facilitate greater access to CPD programmes so that Members can up-skill in a diverse range of practice areas in order to be in a better position when economic conditions improve.
The new online CPD system RIAI CPD Engage has been introduced is to provide registrants/members with more flexible ways to meet their CPD requirements and to provide access to sources of free CPD. We are constantly updating and adding to the course listing on RIAI CPD Engage and one of our main objectives is to include links to as many free or low cost online structured CPD courses as possible.
In recognition of the current economic conditions, the RIAI is operating a lottery to provide free places for unwaged members..
Proof of circumstances will be required and applications will be subject to a confidential review by the Director of the RIAI before entry in the draws.

Applicants for the free place lotteries who have already been pre-approved for unwaged RIAI membership rates for 2009 will qualify for inclusion in the draws for free places.
Practices and the self-employed should note that seminars can be offset against tax as a business expense.
Practices registered with the RIAI should note that RIAI Architect Members or Technician Members on their staff can avail of a 10% discount for all CPD courses.
All participants in the lottery must be able to demonstrate Qualification to the level of FRIAI, MRIAI, or RIAI (Arch. Tech.)
